Membranes
We use HFM membrane technology in two configurations: PVDF and PE. We integrate them into a variety of treatment applications: domestic and industrial wastewater, industrial process water, hospital wash water, potable water.
The membranes provide a superior membrane surface area to volume ratio. This feature allows the process equipment to occupy a smaller volume than equipment using any type of gravity sedimentation or other conventional methods. The small occupied volume reduces the required aeration volume, thus reducing energy consumption.
Water treatment
We use the membranes for MBR applications, tertiary stage or water loaded with heavy metals. The MBR bioreactor is a combination of the activated sludge treatment process and membrane technology, where the latter is used to separate the solids from the liquid, thus eliminating secondary clarifiers.
Benefits
– Treatment of high flow rates
– Low operating costs
– Simple operation
– No washing, the cleaning is performed during airing
– Chlorine resistant
Surface water treatment
Membrane water filtration technology ensures high water quality. It uses fewer chemicals, a reduced volume and reduces waste matter compared to conventional water treatment processes. The treatment of surface water, some industrial process waters or rainwater is done using immersed modules.
Benefits
– Stable operation
– High tolerance to turbidity
– Low energy consumption
– Low vacuum operating pressure or differential pressure
– Membrane modules can be installed in existing tanks
Well water treatment
Potability of drilling water, pretreatment of industrial or desalination water, treatment of industrial process water or recovery of metals from water are technological processes that are performed using pressurized modules. HFM membranes can be arranged more compactly than tubular or flat membranes.
Benefits
– Stable operation
– Low energy consumption
– Compact modules
– High separation efficiency
